Book Review: Sexy by Nature by Stefani Ruper

I cannot remember how I happened upon this book, but I think I was looking up something about endometriosis and Paleo for a friend. Although she did not find Paleo to be something she could see herself doing, I managed to stumble onto this book, and I'm so grateful that I did.

Sexy by Nature: The Whole Foods Solution to Radiant Health, Lifelong Sex Appeal, and Soaring Confidence by Stefani Ruper is a well-written and well-researched. It is written by a woman for women. Within it, she explores the reasons that we should change our way of thinking about health, beauty, love, and sexism.

In Section 2, she talks about nourishment, what we should and shouldn't be eating and why. It is a very Paleo (or at least Primal) approach to food, and she even makes a really good argument for eating organ meats. It's one of the main reasons we started adding them in to our diet.

In Section 3, she gives tips on how to live a healthier live by reducing stress, getting better sleep, standing more, sprinting, strength training, having sex, getting sunlight, being spiritual, accepting, and striving.

In Section 4, she discusses ways to overcome health issues that you are dealing with, including fertility problems and thyroid problems.

In Section 5, Stefani tells us how to strut your stuff and love yourself because you cannot be sexy if you do not reassess your old notions of what is good for you, eat better to feel better, live a healthier life, and love yourself.

This is a book that I would highly recommend to any woman who wants to be as sexy as humanly possible. It has really changed the way I look at health and healing and taking care of myself, and I hope to use it as a template for this blog.
